Our Mission

Empowering and supporting neurodivergent individuals to reach their goals through neurodiversity-affirming behaviour support.

Adapting Together Therapies provides behaviour support services to autistic children, teens, and young adults. We focus on providing specialised support for individuals with sensory processing differences and those who communicate using methods other than speech, including nonspeakers, minimal speakers, and unreliable speakers. We are passionate about prioritising regulation as the foundation for which learning is built upon.

At Adapting Together Therapies we believe in empowerment, not control. We use science-backed strategies and a collaborative approach to understand our client’s unique needs and strengths. We then create a custom behaviour support plan that fosters growth, promotes well-being, and aligns with the goals and values that are important to our client and their care team.

What support can we offer you?

We tailor our teaching to areas that matter most to you, recognising the uniqueness of each individual, which means no two programs are the same. Our support spans a variety of areas, from daily living skills to emotional regulation.

“What we learn with pleasure we never forget”

Alfred Mercier

At Adapting Together Therapies, we follow the preferences of the speaking autistic community by using identity-first language. We acknowledge the diversity in language choices and respect each individual's autonomy in self-description using their preferred terms. We recognise the importance of language and are guided by the individual's preferences.
